5G: what is it? What is its effect on the human body? Is it dangerous?

5G can be considered the newest generation of mobile technology. It will be able to take the way we connect to the internet to a whole new level. However, we also see how people are concerned about the numerous health risks that are associated with 5G. From this article, we will get rid of all the doubts and concerns that you have about 5G technology.

What exactly is 5G?

5G is capable of providing significant improvements to cellular network performance. It is the upgrade for 4G, which takes the performance specifications of 4G to a whole new dimension. 4G was introduced back in the year 2009. It possesses a peak speed of around 10Mbps.

However, 5G technology can provide peak speeds that range between 10Gbps and 20Gbps. On the other hand, the network latency associated with 30ms will drop up to 1ms in 5G. Therefore, 5G will be ideal for online videos, video games, and streaming. For example, it is possible to connect computers, sensors, and many other devices with the help of 5G and experience the benefits that come along with reduced latency.

What effects can 5G create on the human body?

As you can see, 5G technology is beneficial, and it can deliver numerous benefits for the people. However, it can create some adverse effects on the human body. You need to be mindful of those adverse effects as well.

To get a better understanding of the risks that are associated with 5G, you should have a solid knowledge of the scientific theory called electromagnetic radiation. Electromagnetic radiation, which is also known as EMF, can simply be defined as a field of energy, which would result due to the flow of electricity.

You can find electric fields near the current-carrying wires and the power outlets. Even if the power outlets are switched off, you will be able to find them. However, the magnetic field will only be created when the current is flowing. When the electric fields combine with magnetic fields, you will end up getting electric magnetic fields.

We are exposed to electromagnetic fields from most of the handheld devices that we are using daily. Tablets and mobile phones can be considered as a perfect example to prove the fact mentioned above. On the other hand, you will be exposed to EMF from television antennas and numerous other medical applications as well.

Along with that in mind, you need to check and see whether electromagnetic fields are in a position to create any adverse effects on humans. That’s because EMF associated with 5G is linked to a higher frequency.

Back in the year 2014, the World Health Organization said that people will not be able to experience any health issues due to the usage of mobile devices. They conducted a series of experiments before coming up with this conclusion.

The United States Department of Health has also conducted some experiments with 5G technology back in the year 2018. They used rats for this experiment. The main objective of this experiment was to determine whether exposure to 5G EMF can lead people to cancers. After the comprehensive experiment was conducted, they concluded that long-term exposure to 5G will never create cancer in human beings. Even though they used rats for the experiment, they were able to use appropriate conditions to mimic how humans will be impacted.

With the implementation of 5G technology, you will be exposed to higher frequency electromagnetic fields for an extended duration of time. However, the radiation that you are exposed to is not yet enough to cause any ionizing effects on the body. Therefore, you don’t need to worry too much about getting cancers. These radio waves still deliver a lesser energy output when compared to the energy output that is given from gamma rays.

You don’t have to worry about the heating dangers that are linked with 5G as well. 5G technology can indeed provide higher heating effects when compared to 4G.
